I am a 16 year old that is still in high school and looking for any employment. I am trying to save up for college and a car to start my future in 2 years. I have experience in volunteer work and in the fast food industry. I love learning new things and have an open mind. I am responsible and take my future seriously. If anyone could point me to any good job applications.

if your volunteer service had been any length of time use that as a way of showing dependability and longevity with the organization that you volunteered for. Employers do look for those that are dependable and will be there due to cost of training and general turnover costs. Be willing to work weekends and holidays especially if the business is open during that period. Too many want those time periods off and if you show you are willing to work those it will help, General retail work will be a good start like Walmart or Kmart along with the fast food industry. Another key if there is a uniform policy then follow it as close as you can. It will help because it will show your professionalism and overall concern for self as well as company overall image. Good Luck Janae is finding something. Those may not be the most ideal; however, they can work into better things down the road through proving yourself overall.

Since you've indicated volunteer work and fast food I would suggest that you link the two. Where have you volunteered? What I'm thinking is going for a line cook, to start, perhaps at a hospital or nursing home. IDK, just a suggestion. It really depends on where your heart lies. If you enjoy cooking, then that seems like a fit. Also what did you volunteer for? There is excellent $$$ to be made in care giving! If you enjoy spending time with elderly or those who have limitations, then there is another avenue for you to explore. Best of luck to you! There is NO limit..not even the sky!
If you have your interest in working with the elderly, check with your school. Some schools offer programs that will help train students of potential careers after school. Some even have Co-op programs where a student can learn a trade athen work so many hours in the trade area. When I was in school, the program had a Nurses Aide training program where one could work as what they call a Nursing Assistant. This will let you work with the elderly and starting of a career in the medical field as well through working in care facilities and hospitals part-time while in school. This may be to your liking and option.
