If you got a job offer from your previous employer, would you go back?
1 - YES 2 - NO WAY!

never go back.

Rhonda: The business of Business is Business. Right? So now you get a reinstatement offer from a former employer/business. Sounds as if you're holding an ace of trumps. Maybe, you worked diligently at a job from which your former employer's business can't get successful results ... now that you're gone ... (e.g. proficiency at a certain software? operate a particular machine?) It seems you'll likely discover a certain department manager, there, who NEEDS your skills input ... in order for his department (and himself) to do successful work. Hey. Return to that employer? Certainly ... but only if/when you receive an HR-approved, WRITTEN, SIGNED "contract" that cites your terms for returning. And that makes your work a Business. Hey. They cut you once; they can cut you, again. But next time, you've got a paid-for exit! Besides, there could be a better situation awaiting you, there, now that you know they needed your return. So, go for it ... on your terms, only. (To boot: Later, if matters go south, again, at least on resume, you can enter that a former employer asked you to return to a former position you held. Now, that'll be chat-worthy stuff with a job interviewer!)
