Need answers please
I have a friend that was working at a warehouse for years on off & off. Well this last time he was working there he was wrongfully accused of breaking into cars and they showed the recording and it wasn't him . yet they still fired him . by saying he will be given leave til further investigation . then they never answered any of his phone calls. Just basically fired him . what can he do . he doesn't have a record nor was it him . so he has been having problems finding work . He really has stopped believing in the system. Help please show him there is justice

This is tricky because it is his word against an employer who has video evidence of someone who looks like him breaking into cars. Sadly, all they have to go by is the evidence they have and that seems to point at him as the culprit. Is he able to prove it isn't him? Was the footage recorded during work hours where he was supposed to be at a certain station or location? Can anyone vouch for his whereabouts during the time he was allegedly caught on camera?
Without being able to prove his case, the only thing the employer can do is let him go based upon the information they have. Was a police report filed? Was he charged with anything? Does he have a prior record of criminal activity that would lend credence to the claims of the employer?
I am not sure what your friend can do in this case. Does he really want that job back after being accused of being a thief? Why is he having difficulty finding new work? Is it because the former employer is giving bad references? If he was friendly and on good terms with s team lead/shift supervisor, have him use that person directly as a reference and forego using HR as a reference. Have him contact co-workers and ask them if he can use them as a professional reference.
Do not get mired in petty reprisal/revenge tactics, it will only harm his ability further to get work. He wants to be seen as a mature and reliable employee, not someone who starts trouble/drama.

He is more of the shy guy but i like that idea . but need a legal point of view defamation of character was done hear

Call reporters and stake out employer with protest signs
He has got to get a lawyer for this case! I would contact the ACLU, He can also contact his state’s department of labor. Having evidence that exhonerates him is something that they HAVE TO take a look at!
Good luck, and God Bless_
