I am from Cheyenne Wyoming I moved to South Central California... a bit of a culture shock to say the least. My journalism teacher really encouraged his students to look within the culture and address longstanding issues that needed change. I wrote for the school newspaper and I addressed one such issue, my story ran front page. In a school that was not known for its book club it's safe to say my story was probably the most read in the history of the publication. This experience taught me a number of life navigational skills.
