Good for Some...Bad for Others
Do you think the OT rule a good move for small businesses? This info shows that the salary threshold is expected to rise every 3 years. Small business typically rely on their mid-level employees to carry the heavy load of the business and compensate us with Stock options or Free Benefits. How will remain competitive under this new law ? I’m asking because I’m a manager at a small company right now and I'm thinking about the longevity of my job. Do I need to start looking for a new job?

I saw a news report on this issue over the weekend and business owners were all talking about layoff and reduced hours. There's going to be a lot of workers losing or ineligible for benefits with less hours.
