There is a lot of love on this site for hurting people

2 Timothy 1-7 reminds all of us that there is something greater and bigger than this world and the people inside it everyday. Many folks don't have any belief in a higher source or power that is God; but, wise men who became wise were once non-believers too. Remember people; we sometimes say, "show me" or "give me proof first, then--just maybe I may believe in you"

Just look around you and look in the mirror. You are perfectly made; but, if you don't see it; and don't believe it---those thoughts come from years of battering on you and mistreatment; terrible experiences you and I have suffered. But, see these things; the fresh air; the wind blowing through your hair; a lover's true kiss; a sweet baby you are holding right now---laughter; an elder who is dancing and doing yoga at 99. Good food with people you love or like; a little job that gives you a sense of purpose; but, looking to help others who are suffering more than you; we are God's children; we are all related whether you are a bigot or a racist---you cannot change what has been set in stone before we were born---when we embrace kindness, love and compassion for others; and when we learn to forgive others who hurt us 77 times perhaps, we free our minds, our emotions and ourselves to enjoy life again. To skate, ride a bike, dance and sing---to cook and bring food to starving homeless folks. To not judge people because they are mentally ill; to do some volunteering in a church; or a hospital and remembering there are plenty of people all over the world struggling right now who are running and hiding for their lives where evil exists and where bombs are destroying holy places. History keeps repeating itself. If you don't know anything, visit a library, sit down for an hour and pick up a book and read about it.

We have a balance in this world: the yin and the yang of it. good vs evil. happy vs sad. young vs old. But, everything is here and we have freedom, given to each man, woman and child in this great country today---these soldiers gave up their lives and they came back and are still waiting for help to feel whole once again.

When we stop looking at what we don't have; and instead---be grateful for what we do have (regardless of how little) perhaps only then, we shall stop comparing ourselves to others; perhaps we will stop living through our favorite rock and movie or reality stars and begin living for our neighbors and others who are alone and afraid.

Get out today and walk around and try to find ten good things that surround you: a roof over your head; no rats or roaches in your home; food on the table; clothing and shoes to wear; a cell phone; a car to drive; your license; friends; family you cherish; children; your favorite pets; now continue on and be grateful more and thank Him daily---because we all know this "it could be a whole lot worse"

I totally agree to this topic and always have been grateful to what I have however I have looked to the good and bad but you try to see the good in others while they are so ungrateful and even throwing you under the bus but I'm just grateful for another day and to know my children are safe. For wherever God takes he is with me!
