I have been on and off of work to care for my babies. What is a good answer to the gaps in between my resume?

Being a mom is a full time job on it's own. You can use a cover letter to explain your gaps. Mention any online courses, volunteer experiences, or community organization involvement you may have had during that time unemployed. Share challenges you've had to overcome as a mom and how you can transition those experiences into your career.

Hi Ambar, Use a cover letter to explain employment gaps by briefly stating that you chose to be a stay-at-home parent until your children were in middle school. Now that they've reached that milestone your ready to re-enter the workforce and resume my professional and career goals.

Ho is raising children not a F/T job right!! Talk about some the experiences and challenges you managed during that time. I'm sure you developed transferrable skills suitable for any other jobs.

Hey Ambar, Taking time off to raise a family isn't really a negitave on a resume. I mean everyone's got a mom right.

Hey Ambar, that's a really good question. I think it's perfectly fine to say that you took time off to care for your family. The real goal should be to tell employers that your skills are fresh, your experience is top-notch, and you're an asset for any employer. Don't let the focus be on the gaps in your resume - when they ask, just answer honestly and then move on to highlight your strengths.
