I had a verbal confrontation with a coworker, went to general manager and let him know there was an issue, then went back to get busy and the guy wants to continue cursing me out and I let home know that If he has a problem we could tend to it off the clock and off the property and then to walk away and blindsides me in the left temple knocking me out cold and continued to punch me in the face as I snored, when I came to he was already gone into the office of the general manager that I tried to get involved before he attacked me. I had to go home and wait for my wife to take to emergency room because my mouth wouldn’t quit bleeding and required stitches, the owner tells me he’d pay for medical bills and pay me to take a couple days off and if I could come back and pretend nothing happened I had my job but if I felt like I wouldn’t be comfortable working around my attacker then I was fired , I applied for unemployment a month ago and it’s still in review and I am curious if I have any legal legs as far as appealing an unemployment denial, I haven’t been denied yet but I’ve always heard that you aren’t eligible if you’ve been terminated... even tho I never put my hands on nobody and tried to get manager to intervene?????
