Bet you didn't know this
Before KFC was KFC the Kernel had to close the doors to his restaurant. He then hit the road with his wife, the car packed with a couple pressure cookers, flour, and spice blends. He would then enter a restaurant, offer to cook his chicken, and then make a deal if the owner liked what they tasted. Soon he had over 600 restaurants across the US and Canada selling Kentucky Fried Chicken!! He never gave up and that story will always inspire me. He was one of the great ones. As a manager at KFC as I try to make him proud. I like my job and the people I work with. I run a tight ship but this job is my home and always will be.

Lovely!

Good for you because you like your job, and probably you are making good money. But for me I think that would be hard to survive with 7.50 per hour.

Actually Dave Thomas worked for him before he worked at Wendy's

Back home in Baltimore in the late 70s and 80s, there was a restaurant called English's that sold Kentucky Fried Chicken. I never understood how one restaurant could sell another's product. I guess this answered that question!

It's wonderful that you like your job! So few of us seem to these days or are looking for better. Like many entrepreneurs, the Kernel never gave up and kept going. Anyone can learn a lot from someone like that.
Hi Michael, it's is pretty nice to have a place to call home for a career. Good luck Mike
