Something has GOT to give

I am relocating to Charlotte, NC and man it’s a task finding a job. I’ve already been approved for my apt, have the move in date and all but securing a job before hand is not the easiest. I’m currently in NY and NEED to make this move for my sanity and overall growth. I’ve applied to multiple places daily and still nothing. I’m not even being picky at this point lol. UGHHHHHH. I don’t know what else to do.

Samantha - Sorry to hear that the job search isn't going well, it can be a really tough task to find work, especially while you're in the process of moving. Just keep your head up, and meet as many people in your new area as you can - someone you encounter may know of a job opportunity near you!

Samantha,

Sorry it's taking you so long to find something. Try applying with the employment agencies. They sometimes have a lot of jobs available and most places use them to instead of posting online. Good luck!

One thing that New Yorkers and others seem to overlook is the pay in the South compared to other parts of the Nation. I met a young lady who moved into an apartment speculating that she would be making the same kind of money in NYC. The apt was about 1200$ a month and she could only land a 10.50$ job. Needless to say she caught hell. Transitioning is a big step when moving to another State and you MUST have all of your ducks in a row otherwise its going to be a struggle. If its meant to be all will fall into place. Keep pounding

Hi Samantha! Don't worry it's perfectly normal to feel a bit stressed especially before a big move like that! Here are some [jobs in your new area] (https://www.jobcase.com/jobs/search?q=&l=Charlotte%2C+NC&r=25&ex=1&group=company&sources%5B%5D=CB&sources%5B%5D=GD&sources%5B%5D=LI&sources%5B%5D=JC) for you to check out and apply to. You can also enter a specific job title or company in the search field in that link to narrow your search. Please let me know if you need anything else. Also be sure to follow up with your application a few days after you apply! Good luck : )
