Are you religious? because even though this is totally legal through the IRS irs.gov some people wont do it because it's a religion LOL But hey when you need the money picking up the bible of your faith and preaching it could increase your income by 50% if your honest about it. Here is how it works 1. you get an ss-4 form and two other people that are faith based in your religion meaning you believe in the same doctrine and god. (President, Secretary and Treasurer) none of these positions can be held by the same person better if they are family members over the age of 18. / 2. Churches do not need to wait a year to file a 1023 form for recognition so once the EIN is given to you that day you are a legal church now you have to create your articles of incorporation, bylaws and a statement of religious affiliation (christian / islam / jew / whatever your religious direction is) and the Doctrines you adhere to (holy bible quran jewish scrolls whatever doctrines you use need to be defined) now file the 1023 form pay the irs 400.00 you will be automatically approved if you follow the directions in church and charities manual at irs.gov and now you and your 2 other members meet once a week if it is your wife and brother it can be at a family dinner to pray once a week and it meets the irs qualifications you ordain all 3 of yourselves ministers (which is now legally allowing you to perform weddings funerals and baptisms legally through the courts) But here is the good part ministerial housing and utility compensations and clothing and automobile allowances that your church is able to pay you in place of a paycheck for your ministerial duties can be recycled legally increasing your household income. See you get paid from your normal job 40k a year that has been taxed so you donate the amount of your rent, utilities, auto repairs and clothing amounts to the church then you take the church corporate account and pay the rent utilities and automotive repairs and clothing expenses. Now the total amount paid for these things needs to be taxed like you would tax a paycheck FICA Social security and so on but the reward comes when you file your tax return at the end of the year you get a tax credit for up to 50% of your gross yearly income and if you don't owe tax debt that comes to you in a check tax refund check which in your case would be up to 20k on top of your normal returns meaning now you are paying a little more on rent and utilities every month (tax taken out) but your getting it all back at the end of the year turning your 40K a year job into a 60k a year job using your faith. EVERY religious church mosque sin agog does it EVERY SINGLE ONE so if your not morally compromised by preaching your faith you can increase your household income by 50% without spending to much money or effort but DO IT LEGALLY church and charities manual at irs.gov hope this helps
