Scam Jobs

Be careful when accepting interviews and jobs on Zip Recruiters. I've had two job postings that were scams. If you are asked to interview by IM on Google refuse because it's a scam. It's like they say if it's to good to be true then it's not true. Beware of any interview or job offer by Brenda Louw of Liteinc Holdings. They're simply trying to do check scams, they will ask you to deposit checks into your account and withdraw money for supplies or equipment . You are to keep money for your salary and send the rest to them by cashiers checks. The check that they give you will be returned to your bank and your account will be over drawn by the amount. The job offer sounds great because they're paying 35.75 an hour part time or full and 20.00 an hour for training. The job title is Data Entry/ Admin Assistant / Executive Assistant.

Hi Climmie! This is a very common theme in stories I've heard about using Ziprecruiter for job searching. They actually wrote a really good article on how to avoid scams on their site, here it is: https://www.ziprecruiter.com/blog/how-to-avoid-job-scams/ -- but I'll mention that you should always be wary of someone who reaches out to you first, and online interviews are a huge red flag! Finally, any checks they send would certainly be fake and you could lose money that way. Thanks for sharing your story with us!
