Line cook/prep cook. PCA
Well on the job hunt again,after 11 month's at the same place that doesn't recongnize Dr.s not as an excused absence. I was sent home by the nurse & told to get medical clearance which I did then at 8:30 that night was told by a manager when I text him & told him I got my paperwork and id see him tomorrow he said no,the nurse said not til Monday so see you then. It was my day off so when I called Monday for Tuesday's schedule my boss said oh your in at 11 but see me first. So I did & he let me go. When I only had 2 1/2 hour's left of my shift the last day I worked. It was considered an unexcused abcense. I never asked or even wanted to leave. My health issue has been happening since I was 13 & I could've waited until my day off to go to the hospital. Just frustrated that I still had personal time left that I think I've lost and I despise looking for work at Christmas time! Need to find something quick. #sad #bad timing #jobsearchingagain
It sounds like you were wrongfully terminated and may be eligible for unemployment.
People are so heartless.
Which you the best of luck now days jobs are not kool specialy when they need to.let you go u got.your doctor papels what was the real.reason for them.to let you go i don't understand good luck
What day did the nurse sent you home? Did you get that in writing that the nurse said to come back Monday?

This was many years ago but I worked for an electric company. I was working third shift when I started having an asthma attack. It was relatively mild but was scared the crap out of my partner. I waited to the end of shift to see and get treated by my doctor (1 hour later) as oppose to seeing their medical staff (3 hours later) only to be sent to my own doctor. And the asthma would have been a lot worse by then. I was suppose to work that afternoon but did a medical call out and had a doctor's note. The next day, I get a call that my services were no longer needed and saying that they didn't know I had asthma. First, I disclosed that I did and that it occasionally effects me. Second, had to go thru a full physical which is "put on the dicky, I'll be with you in a moment" physical which he heard a bit of wheezing that day and asked about it, so they knew. They were just looking to get rid of me.
