A smack my head moment
I worked at Kroger and I had pretty awesome customers. Wasn't too bad. No one gave me a hard time and I always tried to be patient if they were upset or having a tough day. You never know what someone is going through. Well that was until this lady asked me for "gluten-free water" one day. I swear to GOD she asked me this!!! I told her that water doesn't contain any gluten and she shouldn't worry. So she says that the other store always has the one she wants and gets aggravated with me. I ask her what brand of water she needed that the competitor sold, but she couldn't remember. I recommended a few water brands that I really like and she bought those. I just tried to help her out.

Just smile and sell her the most expensive brand in the store, people that dumb won't care.

Can u help me with a job like that

I do electrical work and had a woman complain that the switch at top of stairway was upside down." 3 way swich with one like it a bottom of stairs" i said its a 3 way doesnt have an up or down side i go downstairs and flip other switch and she says now that one is upside down.i said nothing just shook my head and left.

That's funny. Some people are just too stupid to argue with

Unfortunately ! You can't make everyone happy, it's hard dealing with the public doing retail because you're going to get good & bad people who will TRY your patience just because they know they can & you can't do what you want. I hope it gets better !. Good Luck ! :)

You handled that situation very well n as someone who has had my fair share of jobs working with people, there's no pleasing everyone but as long as we all do our best, that's what really matters :)

You did the right thing Peter! This lady KNEW what she was talking about. Kudos to you for having patience and honoring her opinion. I know from experience in customer service that is the most difficult thing to do sometimes. Great job!

Never give up hope just keep on trying to help her that is all you can do right now.

That’s funny
Kroger sucks to work for. Crazy schedule and low pay. Terrible management. No HR but a union that is worthless so you are on your own if you have a problem. I was a floor supervisor. Worse job ever
