Unemployment
Is it normal to have to participate in a phone hearing for unemployment? I receive a letter stating an issue has been raised on whether i was suspended or discharged for mis conduct? Are they always going to side with the employer? Im currently filing a complaint with eeoc for workplace harassment and now wrongful termination will need to be attached. The disciplinary action indicated that i was not truthful with my customer. I told my director that a center stated that they did not want a person to use their service and had no space available. I provided a statement from the center confirming that there was no space. But i was terminated because i didn't tell my customer the feelings they had towards her. It was at that time a stressfull situation when the incident happened and i was at a point where i finally had a calm enough to allow me to call the center. Once the center stated there waa no space i did find her an alternative center to use.
An interview is required to get unemployment, and they can do it by phone or in person.
