You're Old Enough Until You Are Too Old
There was always someone who was older or had a postion above you. And no matter how hard you worked, this always seemed to be the case. Then, one day, when you have all that proven experience and a resume people would die for.... you then find out you are too old.
Nonsense. The only way to have experience is to get it, earn it, and prove yourself. This I have done, on a local, regional, national and international basis.

Just what age is considered too old? I am 60 I do not have a bachelor or masters degree. I do however have a diploma from 19777 or 78 for General Office and my certificate for keypunch from 1976. As you csn see keypunch is now pretty much obsolete. Also general office no longer exists in the trade school arena. I have 20 years office experience and that seems to not be helping me find a job. So again I ask you, how old is too old?

Welcome to the world of the millennials.

Like the old adage goes it's not what you know it's who you know, or right place right time. Honestly to think that you are special because of what you did or how qualified you are is ridiculous. When ever trying to figure out a situation you may find yourself in just look at human nature not bull crap human relations mumbo jumbo.

Hi Louis, yes. Earning experience and learning new things is so important as you look for a job. What you knew 10 years ago or even 10 days ago could easily have changed and very well may have. It's important to keep growing, keep working, and keep knowing that you are NOT "too old" and that you add value to a company. Thanks for posting Louis, I hope to see you back in the community soon ; )
This seems to be a problem that many older workers are facing. They should lower the retirement age to collect social security, that way more people can retire early.
