Older worker

As an older worker myself i would like to ask you Tom, what industry are you working in? The retail market fluctuates all the time, so does fast food. Try mental health as a habilitation technician working with individuals in their communities teaching life skills, working with seniors as a home health aid or at assisted living facilities, or hospitals. an Uber or a Lyft driver. Manufacturing has cut backs and lay-offs regularly. Look at more stable industries where their is a need. Here in Greensboro, NC and the Triad working in the aviation industry has been booming from air craft maintenance to baggage handlers to sewing the upholstery for the seats. As an employment consultant get out of your comfort zone. If additional training is needing go to your community college.apply for the Pell Grant. You're not just getting older you should be getting better. Visit your local employment office and see what the market trends are in your area. Brush up your resume. take some HR skills development classes. Make yourself marketable. Don't just sit there with the same company and let this same scenario play out over and over. An old Chinese proverb says "Crazy " is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Sometimes change is hard and scary but necessary.
