Who Really Care's AboutThere Employees

Hello out there I hope everyone is somewhere safe and warm. I am currently working at a hospital I won't put the name out there but sit back and relax and enjoy the ride . Okay so a few days ago I got written for coming in late for a couple of days okay I understand that I have to be at work on time who doesn't come in to work late but the only thing that should matter is that I called you and let you know right???. So that's my first write up now I'm having problems again where I'm being written up because of the weather and I can't move my car I even had my cousin shovel the snow from around my car and form the end of the driveway so I can try to make it to work so I called my Job and my supervisor asked me can you make it in. I told him no so as I begin to tell him he cuts me off and asked me do I have car insurance I'm like what does that have to do with anything so I didn't answer him because it wasn't any of his business if I had car insurance or no .so I asked him can he come pick me up he didn't say yes or no he told me that I wasn't gonna get paid for today and that's gonna be my second write up So I was like okay it's just time for me to move on to the next one. this job it's not fair or for me anymore I have done all I can do to try to prove myself worth to this hospital and it's just not good enough for them I need this job but then again I feel like I don't .I need help with this problem I have a family and Xmas is coming up and my most important date is coming up and that's my wedding I'm stuck between leaving or staying

Hi MaShelda Bradsher ! That is very strange that he asked if you have car insurance. Also, you're right that is none of his business. Maybe if he was concerned with you driving, but even then WHO asks that??? I think it is amazing that you asked if he could pick you up given the cruddy weather conditions to get you into work. It honestly would have been less of a headache for him to come to pick you up rather than fill the shift so I don't understand. It sounds like you are "blessed" with a bad manager. However, I do understand that companies have rules but yes everyone runs late every once and awhile. It sounds like they are quite strict. My advice is to begin looking for a new job. If you are in trouble with the holidays coming up and need cash fast sign up to drive for [Lyft] (https://www.lyft.com/driver) just to get yourself going and this way you can have some cash for the holidays. They offer new drivers a lot of bonuses too that you can earn! While you do that on the side you can look for a new position. I am wishing you the best, stay strong!!
