Trying to find a balance
Hi Guys, I have a Master degree in Human Services specializing in Mental Health Counseling. My problem is that uon graduating my husband had a stroke and then diagnosed with having seizures. I have spent the last two years of helping him and dealing with tragedy. I am older and I feel if I don't get back to work I am going to lose my nerve and skills. I had a couple of offers but, most are to far from home and I worry about leaving my husband. I have had several phone interviews and have gotten a call for second interview but somehow I missed the call. I recently had a scheduled face interview and I was late because l took my husband to the doctor. I have a interview this week. I want to ask everyone to give me some pointers on how to stop sabotaging myself. Thanks Connie

Priorities.....
From experience with a disabled daughter I know how frustrating and stressful this can be. And VERY FEW understand. Especially if you don't have the support for day to day appts etc. Priorities are important. And that priority is your husbsnd. Until you can come up with a plan that works You will continue to have hurdles. When you do land that job you might Just turn around and lose it. I would Get something in motion that helps you. Example: transportation to and from appts. A part time care giver. Etc. Make that decision. I think everything else will fall in place.
