Sybase Database Administrator
Is it an age thing or is it that the number of Sybase jobs have declined such that it is hard to find a position?
I can do anything and in my career have performed programming with many different languages, held lead and architectural positions, documentation expert, quality Assurance testing and setup, engineering, professional services consulting, teaching, second and third level help desk. I have worked in the main frame, UNIX and Intel platforms.
My ability to immediately step in and help a situation would be in the ASE and Replication Sybase products. I worked for Sybase for five years in various capacities I have Oracle and MS SQL experience and a great understanding of how relational databases work but again my strength is Sybase. I work d for some top tier companies including Computer Language research, EDS, Ernst and Young, Sybase, anthem, AIG and more.
Is being in your sixties just too old for companies?
Sure seem that way!
