I spent some of my quarantine time helping a neighbor with a project. She had old sheet music and she was wondering what it sounded like. So I input the music using the free #opensource software Musescore then uploaded it on to YouTube. The song is called "Sonata Per Corno E Pianoforte" by L. Cortese (I don't know anything about the song or the writer other than that it was copyrighted 1958 by Carish of Milan, Italy) and you can hear it at the link below. #musescore #sheetmusic #music #classical #classicalmusic

I love this! @Kimberly Keyes, as a musician I appreciate how much work it takes to transcribe music like this. ? curious, do you have a background in music?

Thank you for the kind remark. I took guitar lessons in high school where the teacher was insistent on learning basic music reading. So I know the difference between a bass clef and treble clef but I'm far from being a music expert. This piece was a challenge because one measure would have a bass clef but then, a few measures later, it would switch to a treble clef before switching back to a bass clef. The time signatures also changed as well. It started at 4/4 but it switched to 9/8 then 12/8 then 6/8 and so on. At least MuseScore kept up with what I was inputting.
