Customer Service Representative Teller at Check Cashing Usa

Is it a common rule for employers?

In November 2013 i went to an interview with a Bank or a Federal Credit Union, and the interviewer told me she was going to call me (at this time, I am still waiting for the call), Recently i Applied for a job in another Bank in April got the interview and the lady told me that they would get in contact with me. After two weeks or more i got an e mail that they will keep on searching for other candidates.

Just know when the say they will call.they not.If they want to hire you.The employers usually gives you your hired right after the interview and then hands you your drug test and background check paperwork. So If they tell you this.Know that they are still going to be considering other candidates.

Yes, this is very much the case if they are using an outside hiring rep. Do you have banking certfication? Check your state employment office to see if grants can help cover the cost. If you are a Veteran, money is there for you. http://www.aba.com/training/Pages/default.aspx

Henry I am going through the same thing but when they say they will call they have. I would follow up with the interviewer something may have happened and she/he has been out of the office. I have been in banking more than 20 years. I was laid off 6 months ago and I am still looking for a job. The right job will come along you and I just need to be patient. Good luck

Yes. If they want you, they will call you. If they don't call you, then they don't want you, for whatever reason. Unless you made it to the reference check etc., they generally do not call back at all. Just keep applying and don't sit and wait.

Hi Henry: Sorry to hear about your job search - that must be frustrating for people to not get back to you! I don't think it's a general rule for employers to not get back to you when they say they will, but I think honestly, employers just get busy and they forget to follow up on their promises. I would keep doing what you're doing - apply for jobs, follow up on your applications, and then keep following up with employers if they give you a specific time they'll follow up, but fail to keep it. Keep at it - you'll find something soon!
