How well would anyone say the job atmosphere at their job is?
I was born in 1973 and raised by my dad. His work ethics (a very hard worker) taught me how to work for success. I was 13 when I got my first paycheck. I made only $3.15 per hour and have worked very hard ever since only to stop when I got pregnant at the age of 36. Per my husband's request we agreed I would take time off to raise our daughter till a certain age. I recently have come back into the workforce and it is very different. I have always represented my job and my paycheck so I am not just there to make money although the money is the main reason. I have to like my job otherwise I won't waste either of our time. We are responsible for our atmosphere. . I noticed that a lot of companies are hiring those who have no respect for the company they work for. Fighting, baby momma drama at work etc., etc. It's a very different atmosphere for me these days. And don't get it wrong, it's not just the younger generation!

The new school make it hard for those of us that worked b4. But keep doing what you do an you will progress. An I pray that you rub off on some people. Cause people like us will always be attracted to an leader's

Hi Janet, I am currently looking for employment and I understand exactly what you are talking about; We are currently living in an environment where the non-intelligent people have taken over in all areas of life. This occurred when September 11 happened and businesses were focused on cost efficiently six sigma. In this transition all the experienced professionals that had a strong work ethic was eliminated and the lower management with non essential work ethic was put in positions to hire. Naturally upon this transition the non essential management could not possibly hired competent professionals to perform the job because they felt threatened and hired individuals that they could control and had no work ethic. This is why everything has changed drastically. The only thing that keeps me going is that I know that as long as I am alive there is a job for me with my name on it because God is in control. I just have to get in front of a manager that has strong work ethic, morals, integrity and has the utmost honesty. Always be true to who you are because that is when you will be happy, and successful no matter what you do.

Yes , I understand what you’re speaking of . Not only they are disrespectful, very lazy no morels at ALL . You just don’t how to approach or fit in . But wishing you luck on returning to the workforce .

Good feedback Janet. It's real important to like where u work
