What would you do?

What would you do, if you were offered a job, it paid a dollar less than what you were making, would mean you would have to pay out a lot of your own money ( if you were given the option to do it at home ) and you were not given a guaranteed 40 hours a week, which is what you count on... would you accept the job?

Stay with your current job and keep looking for the opportunity that would benefit you, because you have a job so you can be picky on waiting for the perfect job that will be what you want and the money you need

Easy decision.... I would not accept the home based job because most importantly its a decrease in pay than your not guaranteed your hours.

The depends on a few things.

Are you currently receiving unemployment benefits, and if so, is the amount of your benefits more than what you would make at this opportunity? If that is the case, stay on unemployment and find a better opportunity. If you are not receiving unemployment, take the job to at least have SOME income coming in, and use your free time to continue to search for a better opportunity.

I have been guilty of comparing new offers to what I was making before, not comparing it to the fact that I wasn't making anything while out of work.

Also, the less the gap between jobs on your resume, the more appealing you are to prospective employers. If you have a job and are looking for work, you are considered a "passive" job seeker which is more appealing to employers.

Good luck!
