Mondays are the best day to check because that is before anyone else applies for them. When you get onto their page type work from home and Houston.. Hi, I actually have a yunger cousin that is autism as well. We didnt do anything diffrent from how you would parent anouther child. My grandmother has custody of him, I am always there to help out due to her own health problems. From birth to about 3-4yrs old we scared to allow him to be in daycare or school. I did home school him Mon-Thur about 2-3hrs, sometimes a extra 30min because he would want to continue. When we seen improvement in mostly everything he was doing from playing with other kids, learning, independent,ect. I put him in daycare/school for only half of a day, we wanted him to beable to go to school like any other child. He did great. That next year he was enrolled into an Elementary school. No it was not peachs and cream, but what child is "right". You sometimes got to do the uncomfortable to see the out come. Its not always bad, you are going about it right you are perparing him. If you just that unconfortale then its best to look into affordable sitter.... Ask around some daycares if they ever delt with an autism child. I can refer to the daycare that he still attends today and he just turned 8, plus I send my daughter. The owner actully happens to be my aunt, luckly we stay in houston.
