Power suit for 2nd interview?
Can I wear a black sheath dress with a great cram and black blazer jacke? Or do I have to go and buy a black, grey or blue suit? I have a 2nd interview for payroll manager position, really want this job at this company. I am one of 2 for the position. Meeting with CFO, recruiter says wear a power suit.

That's too much black! As if your going to a funeral. Put color shirt with suit

My 'power suit is red. I also have a black suit and a plum colored suit, which I get compliments on. I do also have a purple dress with a matching jacket.
Since it's an accounting position, look at the company culture. If it's laid back, you can probably skate by, If it's more traditional, you might want to get a more traditional skirt and jacket suit. If money's tight, try hitting the nearby thrift stores. You can often find a suit there for under $30. Deseret Industries is a great place to start, as the stores are well organized and prices are generally reasonable and I'd recommend the smaller independent thrift stores over Goodwill.
Hope it went well and you got the job.

Hi Kelly just curious to find out how the job interview went for you. Did you knock em dead with your outfit. Hope you got the job.

Lots of power in your color choice Kelly but don't forget to prepare for the interview so you can show lots of confidence behind that fantastic look. Good Luck

I think that's a professional look.

The style choice sounds okay but the color selection for a payroll/accounting position is right on Kelly. Stick to the darker and more formal colors. Good luck!

Hi Kelly,
Sounds like a great outfit. :) I would interpret the recruiter's 'power suit' comment to mean: be dressed professionally. And if you're still unsure, then call the recruiter up & ask whether the suit is really what s/he meant.
Good luck!! Let us know how it goes!!!!

Great question Kelly! Unless the office you are interviewing with has a business formal dress code, I think a black dress would be just fine! Especially with the blazer.
That outfit sounds formal enough for an accounting interview. Good Luck
