WOULD YOU BELIEVE???
Applied to a position with Ziprecruiter and lo and behold another scammer. They want to do an interview on google hangout. Then I did some checking. The company JCL Consulting has just a shell website. The person who wrote to me was with Mindtree Inc. which is a consulting company but the positions are mainly in INDIA not the US. Do we hear bells and whistles and fireworks going off? A lot of shall I say legitimate beings are from that area, not all but a whole lot. I must have a neon sign around me saying"Here I am scammers." lol On to my next adventure.
Hi Lana! The unfortunate truth is that anyone who is searching for a job online has that neon sign. Scammers like to prey on people who are in need, and jobseekers need a job! So I'm glad you're educated and able to spot a scam so you won't fall for it!
In 2 weeks that I'm looking for job on ZipRecruiter, I have 5 different scam job on my hand , one of them want to send me check and I deposited, which is bad check , and 4 of them need a printer, you see , this is what they doing , the have one person prints bad and fake check, sent to another person , and the other one is goes to moneygram or something, and deposited, I guess this is for money laundering, do not trust any one that says come to hangout for interview, or if they send you a check , DO NOT DEPOSIT.
