Lost my job at amazon :-(((
I have. Even with amazon as a blue badge ( one who works for amazon and is not a temp anymore) since 2012 . I left in the end of aug due to the fact I was doing a job where I would stand still alllllll day lonnnnng and count bins of product . I left cause I would find myself falling asleep no matter how much sleep you had . I am ADHD and non medicated so I needed to stay busy and preferably moving !!! I came back but as a temp for Integrity which is the temp agency for amazon . It was short lived and only for peak . Two days after I started my job at Amazon my husband was to have surgery to remove a kidney stone the size of a marble !!! So big and everything so backed up he got a deathly infection I have know idea of how it spell !!! He almost died that night !!! Long story short , he was in MICU for 23 days and I accrued points . That is what an Integrity associate accrues when they miss work . You are not to go over a certain amount or you can get fired . It's a known fact and it applies to all . How many people go to work everyday with their other half in the ICU and functions okay and for that matter doesn't miss any work ??? You miss a whole day but call out it's 1.5 points . You are allowed 4.5 tot pal in order to convert and hopefully work for amazon . You can see here if I was to miss two days I'd be at 3 points already !!! Needless to say , I got walked out yesterday for to many points . I had like 7 . I know the rules and I can appreciate them but gee wiz , my husband almost died and we have no time allotted to use to take off when it's peak time so I had to miss work . I had 40 hrs to use as of dec 26 of non paid time off which is fine but still got fired !!! Not cool and I guess they didn't really appreciate what they had so now someone one will get it !!!
Job in amazon is so tedious you should be glad to not work there. People work as a slave and no mercy.
Amazon is a good job, but it can be a joke! I just went back to day shift, my email told me to be there at 8:30am but in my a to z app it said my time is 7:30am. Didnt acrue any UPT until the next day, they took a hour from me. What a joke!

Some places give paid leave for family deaths. You’ll have to check your employees handbook. Where I work if you call out it counts against you. If you however have a major medical emergency you can put in for medical leave and have your job waiting for you when your doctor approves you to return to your job.
My aunt just died yesterday and I requested time off because it’s still fresh and they still put it towards my points now I’m at 4.5 and the other point I accumulated were within good reason one was because my car had a flat tire and I was stuck on the side of the road and the other was I caught the flu and I didn’t wanna get anyone else sick hopefully I can work it out when I go in tomorrow but if not I’m gonna be pretty pissed off.
You should think about a sleep study. A c-pap works wonders on your sleep patterns. I'm enjoying my sleep. I don't feel so tired in the daytime like I used to.
I cannot stress enough, DO NOT WRITE ABOUT YOUR MEDICAL ISSUES. Yes it may not be correct, but when i see this all i hear is complaints, and in addition to a sick person that is going to be off. They do not need to know that, until after your hired!!!!!!!!! Do not defeat yourself before you even apply!!!!! employers read this!!!!!!!!!
You could have taken a LOA. That doesn’t cost points. However the point system is no longer in use.
