Confidence "The Job Interview Advantage"
When you are confident and at ease during an interview you quickly become one of the team. If you act like an applicant you are received as an applicant. Assimilation is the key! BUT stand your positions. Go into the interview and answer the questions the way you would answer the questions. DON'T adjust the answers to what you think they want to hear. THEY CAN SEE RIGHT THROUGH IT.
It is OK to be yourself and with a different nuance then all the other applicants before you. The employer is not looking for a clone.
BE POLITE BE RESPECTFUL MIND YOUR MANNERS DO NOT GO OFF ON A RAMPAGE FOLLOWING THE INTERVIEW STRUCTURE but JUST BE YOU!
Bring your whole self to the interview. Don’t just agree because you think they want you to. Let them see All of you! There are ways to communicate a different view point or opinion and still have a good relationship. TRY IT!
Bring all of your assets and mistakes and resolutions to problems and your goals. Have the comfort as if you are a long time employee of the hiring company. Bring your questions about the job description and, how you want to be viewed as a contributing employee. THIS IS A TEST!
COMMUNICATE WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO THE TABLE. Bring your smile and your expression and YOUR memorable handshake!
BRING YOU!
Good Luck

Great advice. I have expressed these ideas before but I never thought of them as confidence, I just know that if you act like you belong, you can psych yourself and everyone else into seeing that you fit in the job. It is too bad that interviews don't last a few days so that you can actually "try on" jobs like you do when you work as a temp, as that would be a win-win for everyone involved.

Really awesome points and advice! Very helpful Lisa.

Thanks for sharing this great advice with the community, Lisa!
