NEED fulfilling job
I loved my last job. I worked there for 14 years. Had to leave to go to Missouri because my mom had a stroke. Then we saw my dad was sick and 5 days later he died. My employer couldn’t hold my position for the 6 months it took me to pack my moms houses up and move her back to NM.

Sorry for your loss. Did you have any paid time off, PTO or did anyone in HR talk to you about a leave of absence? Not much use to you now I’m sure but many of us take on jobs without carefully reviewing the benefit package. I’m guilty of that myself but now I have a family and aging parents so that’s usually one of the first things I look at before applying to companies. I consider it part of the pay package.
