I love being an waitressThe best part is getting to hear an old person's story or seeing a handicap child/adult smile and you caused it.
That's awesome that you love your job! I was in the restaurant business for 10 years and did everything from server to bartender and MOD. It's very hard work and extremely physically demanding. But your post highlights the best part- getting to meet wonderful people from every walk of life. I especially loved waiting on families with small children because they were so much fun, especially during birthday parties!! Great post Jessica. Keep up the great attitude and good work!

Nothing at all wrong with that, sounds like you have a great knack for human relations, so if there comes a time that you want to explore other venues look at fields than need people to provide that soft touch and an ear for listening ...I have heard bartending is fun pays well and has a variety of customers that love the one on one attention

You are the perfect waitress and I am sure you get large tips from your customers. I owned and operated a steak house for years and waitresses with a great personality like yours were my best reason for repeat business.
yes, Jessica I love being a waitress also been one since I was 14 I'm now 58, but the words are older or senior people and disable child or adult. We can learn so much from people who don't have what we have, sight, speech, hearing, walking etc, and the stories of history we can gain from our seniors is awesome especially our military. Since I'm a Black female sometime you will get a person who might say Colored People back then or Colored people in the military ? People ask me do I get upset and the answer is no, once you know where you came from to the present, it's awesome to know that out of 144 thousand tribes in the beginning there is generations of Colored People in the world. If you stop and think about it, we can and should grow from that. Stranger Who have never met and are All related. Enjoy your job. and remember you can not always make everyone happy. !!
As of now I am putting applications in for work. But my real wish is to be a trucker. I know I'm helping people out there mile by mile. It means a lot.
