I got a job

Well I FINALLY got a job in my field. But it’s $7 less in the hour than what I was making. SO I know beggars can’t be choosy but I already feel like a whipped dog , and this is a huge blow to the ego and wallet.

From what I'm experiencing, thank your lucky stars it's only $7 an hour less. I would be overjoyed to take that small a cut in pay. Unemployment is low, but it doesn't seem like starting wages have recovered yet from 2008. That has been my experience. Hopefully, your new job will lead to something good and you'll make up that difference. Good luck!

A letter of appointment to a new job normally attracts gratitude, not misgivings about what is seen as shortcomings of the position. Irrespective of those perceived negative elements of the job, it is far better than being unemployed , when no paychecks are forthcoming. Applying for a job does not make you a beggar and you MUST be choosy, because you are seeking an arrangement with an employer, which should be mutually beneficial. Accepting a new position does not make you a whipped dog but a proud independent individual, which could be a blow to your ego but definitely not to your previously lighter wallet.New jobs should be seen for what they are, the means to a better quality of life. The employers must be regarded as benefactors, not monsters

The easiest way to make your self fell a little better is : look around you or search the internet for countries like Vanezula and see the destruction and poverty over there. You will look up and thank your creator for what you have now. God bless us all

Remember you are just starting the job. You can’t expect to make what people that worked a job several years are making. Have patience and see what time will bring. Just go in with that great personality you seem to have and see what time will do. Meanwhile you can keep looking too.

Hang in there Grace. A whipped dog only gets stronger, and ALWAYS uses that strength to win, in the end. DO NOT GIVE UP.!!!
