Remember people your truck is also your house u live in it so u can say no to them looking in it n going through your stuff looking in means they get up n look in side if I didn’t give them the right to go through your stuff some dot officers go over what they r allowed to do there is only a few reason they can shut up down logs truck or trailer not up to par some r assholes n others can be nice as hell u can tell what they r when they come up to truck

My brother has had his run ins with DOT before. You are right, smile and be as nice as possibe.

Had a bear jump up on my drivers door asked him to please use the passanger door so he'd be safer, switched sides opened the door asked me for my log then asked me if he could search the truck I asked him if you search my house can I next search yours, he looked at me and said NO, I said okay then why do you want to search my house he said it's your truck I said it's my house on wheels, then he asked if he could call out a K9 unit told him I didn't mind just watch your head on the 360 cam that's live broadcast please. I bought it on Amazon years ago and everytime they see or hear about it they tell me some excuse why they pulled me over for, and to have a good day, as long as you treat them like a person who has a job to do it normally works out in your favor, my company attorney said tell them No. Without a warrant, I feel that if I said that I'd be there for a few hours longer.
