Got a job.... But was disrespected by supervisor
I got a job at Sales Verification Company in St. Petersburg, Florida..... The very first day at this job. The supervisor herself was calling us inappropriate names. Holler the fowl language at us. She kept on and telling us that we were idiots cause we were blocking our hearing on what she was teaching us at the computers... I remind you this is the first day of training!!!! She said, we should have understood in full what she was trying to teach, cause she could have a child do this and be better there first day than what we were. I need to file a complaint with the company. But.HR will not return my calls?? What do I do??
Does HR not have an office you can go to? I would be marching in there immediately to do that!
I would't recommend reporting a supervisor on the first day. Give yourself a few more days to learn the culture in that work environment then decide if it's a job you can live with it. Early in my career I worked for well known mortgage company where the manager would go off on employees calling them all kinds of names but her branch was one with the highest sales in the company so she was able to get away with that style of management. You won't have much to validate your complaint as a new hire with 1 day.
