truck driver

I'm looking for a driver position but last company leased their trucks from lend me and I quit and dropped equipment at lend me, now company says I abandoned,how do I explain this so that I can be hired.

As a former placement coordinator in the trucking industry I understand your dilemma. That it may appear on your DAC report even though it wont appear on your DOT record. If they ask I would explain it was a misunderstanding and you took good care to return it to Penske and it was only afterwards that you learned they preferred it to be returned to company. At no time was the truck out of responsible hands.

Hey Daniel, that's definitely a good question. Don't include this info on your resume or cover letter. I would only mention this in your interview so the hiring manager won't be surprised when he or she contacts your references. Spin it as a challenge that you learned to overcome.

You're pretty lucky given that there's a huge shortage of truck drivers right now, so I don't think it will be too much of a problem for you. Do you need help finding a truck driving job through Jobcase?
