Changes at #Salinajournal
When I started at the Salina Journal my work environment was one in a million. I had a great district manager and enjoyed my job so much that quite frankly it was so much fun that it didn't feel like a job. Then my d.m. retired and was replaced by someone who very quickly gained not only my respect but my loyalty. And once again my job didn't seem like a job at all. I kept this job for over 5 years and did so with minimal complaints unless I was gone and had a sub. Then when the paper sold all sorts of changes took place my D.M. got fired and for circumstances that quite frankly were questionable at the very least. At that time I was not told that there had been a replacement until I called in one day and later received a call from the woman who now has that position. Maybe after 5 years of loyal service and then being treated as though I was not someone that was valued for delivering 350 papers daily . In fact there was no loyalty towards me from my new D.M. at all. I would have loved to have kept my job there and be there no doubt I would go back if the current d.m. we're no longer there.
