FALSE HOPE
Dear Jobcase, I recently observed and somewhat partook in your Jan. 30 day challenges and on the last day I thought I landed a dream trucking job with FedEx freight.I filled out my application on indeed.com and submitted it and I soon was being emailed and was called for prescreen interview. After that, I was given a date for a face to face interview and a number to the man I was to call. So I called him to just basically get a gist of the pay rate for their drivers and was told that this position was an on call position ,or if someone took vacation I could fill in, and that he couldn't promise that I would work everyday. So unfortunately, I had to cancel my interview date for those reasons. I just can't afford to quit my job now that lately hasn't been so bad, to switch to a job that wasn't full-time.It was exciting to be considered by FedEx , it just wasn't what I was expecting. Hence, false hope! So I just thought I'd share the irony of your 30 day challenge and on the last day I had gotten an interview with FedEx. The right trucking job with fall in my lap eventually. Until then I'll remain optimistic and never complain about the thorns among the roses but rather be greatful for the roses among the thorns! Thank y'all for your words of encouragement and support and the finding of jobs I may be interested in. Sincerely!

Did you try Virginia Xpress LLC? Keep your head up! If they was able to bring you in as maybe a part-time material handler that would be good and you could ease you way to someone that was not able to driver at a particular time, your already there. They do the same thing at the post office.

Yeah John, unfortunately it's like that everywhere, I've had a few interviews myself just to be on call/part-time which is what I'm on currently at my present job so why try to juggle 2 jobs then possibly lose one or the other.

Hey I worked for fedex, that was part of a test as to how motivated are you to be a part of their team, I was told the same exact same thing but ended up working good hours for an on call, drivers there can work over 20yrs and still be on call, part time status, but what does it matter? Benefits were still the same as full timers, which is limited to management and OG status employees, you missed out man, but then again, maybe you avoiled a catastrophic situation

John: yes bus driving is different. F. Y . I don't forget your NOT pulling a trailer so don't back up as such. Lol

Dear False Hope you did the right thing by not quitting your current job for an on-call job. You must put your trust in God and not give up. From my experiences, when one job calls, a lot of them start calling. I know you hate your current job, however, you must bare with it until something else comes up.

Mr faircloth, It's always better to exercise the feelings of gratitude. I've been down your path, and will probably continue. Dreams are real;continue... Mark.

I feel your pain, I've had 2 jobs that I was interrested in and both fell through. One I had my resume looked at 3 times . I was emailed by the company for a phone interview set up time . I have the guy my number, he said I'll call you at 5pm. He didn't call. I had no other way to get in touch with him . He didn't respond to any other emails that I sent. Disappointing. The other one the temp service dropped the ball. Best of luck to you on finding the dream job.

Know the feeling John. Keep doing what you're doing and like me, keep striving for what you desire and what will make you happy. I never give up hope that something really good will come along and my appreciation for what I do will be appreciated by those who need my experience and knowledge. The best to you.

Sorry if you got your hopes up just to be disappointed. I think you said it all just be grateful for what you have & soon you will get what you deserve when the time is right. Good Luck :)
Sorry but keep trying you will get the job you want don't give up be bless
