You paid your time and now hopefully you are a better person. Human as we are, your going to be passed over by some, but opportunities are there for you to succeed! Good luck.

Deli Clerk at Winco Foods

I hope you come in contact with a hiring clerk that guides you safely back into the working world, they are out there, and when you do, (from my experiences) you shall have a private meeting behind closed doors, your past will be discussed then and there, you shall be instructed never to speak of where you were or why, (for your good) and your history will be the "secret" between you and the hiring clerk. Just to let you know, I participated in hiring those who where recently discharged from jail, and my staff knew better than to ever ask me about the new hire, all that was ever disclosed is the fact they are new to our business. Dont mind telling you our best employees were the ones who did jail time!

Yes! You shouldn't have to serve a lifetime vocational penalty for mistakes and past transgressions that you've already paid for. Many of the employers at this fair understand that. Look forward to seeing you there! And congrats on moving forward in such a constructive way!!!

Hi Arnetra! I would check out our list of employers and see which ones you are interested in [here] (https://www.jobcase.com/conversations/9593b8ef-ebb5-5355-9b31-612d6844839d). You are also welcome to reach out to the Urban League directly and give them a quick call to see if those companies are offering anything specific for ex-felons. You can find their [contact info here] (https://www.thechicagourbanleague.org/domain/14). Wishing you the best of luck at the fair!
