Homelessness is hopelessness

I'll be brief, my name is Elvis and I'm from Camp Douglas Wisconsin. I have just recently became homeless for the first time ever. I had never thought this would happen to me as my family raised me well, Catholic school, graduated high school w honors. I attended college for two years for criminal justice, however I did not graduate due to family concerns. Between my dad suffering a brain aneurysm and my lovely mother struggling with breast cancer I had to leave school early and help my loved ones.

I been homeless for a week now sleeping in a shelter and getting assistance from the salvation army... I get 3 meal's and a cot to lay my head at night.... I feel somewhat grateful to be in the situation I am in because it has made me stronger. I am learning more about life on a daily basis than I had ever learned in school.

I ask everyone to please pray for me and for all the homeless people who don't have anyone nor anybody to go to for help. I was told by someone to open up an online GoFundMe campaign for help. I did, however I feel horrible having to ask anyone for any financial assistance. I obviously made wrong decisions in my life and I am now paying for it. I have been however a good Christian and I love my fellow man.

I have created this fundraising event for my family and friends and colleagues to help me, so far only my aunt has donated to my cause. God bless her. I feel embarrassed to ask for help, bit when your down and out all you could do is ask...

I'm asking this community to help me get back on my feet so I could continue to bless everyone else around me...

Here is my fundraising event page should you find it in your heart to help me...

Thank you in advance..
