You have to look at what motivates you. Do values assessment on yourself. Sometimes the job is what you make it. If money is what drives you as an example… no the ins and outs of your bonus structure, maybe there is a skill or course that may take little to no time that the company pays an employee extra for. Also each leader is different and so often we as employees are afraid to have constructive conversations about our future and what we need from them to be successful. Don’t be afraid to have those conversations. Here are some pointers:

• Be clear and concise about your needs giving solid reasons why this benefits you and the company.
• Keep it positive and constructive. Don’t just go in with what’s wrong. Give suggestions and solutions to help drive both parties in the right direction.
• Have a mentor. I would pick someone who was where you are at and has moved through the ranks or who is making the money you would like.( if that is what motivates you)
