I have been working for my employer now for 7 months, with 10 years experience in my field. When I was hired I was told as soon as I get my CADC II that I would get a raise. The problem is I am exceeding their expectations and doing almost all the work a II does anyway. I am getting my II in June, I was encouraged to do so asap by my supervisor. I found out they hired another employee at $2.00 more an hour then me. He was horrible at the job, had no computer skills and left after 2 months with no notice. I was furious when I found out how much he made, especially since I was told when I was hired they would start me off at a higher wage then usual because of my experience. I want to ask for a raise but I'm not good at negotiating my worth. Or I could just wait till I get my CADC II in June. Any advice would be helpful.
