Dependable professional management asset

I miss my old job at Chevron . I had my customers and I really didn't know what I had until it my gone . I made a stupid mistake and quit without giving my two weeks notice . I didn't know that I would be screwing myself out of ever getting rehired back there or the other gas station Valero which is owned by the same company here in town. It kills me to see a help wanted sign in the window and to know that I would do just about anything to get that position.Jarad the district manger doesn't give second chances and I wish I just had the chance to tell him the important lesson I have learned from this experience . That I had a good position working at mountain supply company Chevron here in yreka and that I regret quitting and that I would give just about anything to get my position back but I know it's not possible. so for now I will continue working at this pointless job where I will never advance and in which I am not appreciated . And I will continue to apply at other positions in hopes of finding some position that might suit me but I know I will still miss my job at Chevron in yreka ca. The manager Sandy has retired and Geneva has became manger and I know she will be a great one . I miss my co-workers as well ,even the grumpy ones .

Hello Melissa Massey , try not to beat yourself up too much over past choices. Send a letter/email to your previous Manager at Chevron and lay your cards out on the table, so to speak, just like you did in this message. Explain you made a mistake and want to go back to work for the company.

Be specific but try not to dwell on past mistakes. Add how the consequences of that decision have made you a better worker/employee.

Put your intentions and desires out there and see what comes back but don't hold back on seeking out other job opportunities. The work culture you experienced isn't unique to Chevron. There are other organizations out there that offer the same or better. Don't loose Hope & Keep up your job search. Please feel free to reach out and let us know if we can help. :-)
