I enjoyed working for #IHSS because
Because i got to care for my father in his last years. I was not close to my father when i was growing up but as i matured there was an opportunity for me to care for my father rather than have him go to a convalescent home. It was very rewarding experience for me. To be able to care for someone who becomes totally dependant on you for me it was a way of returning how he cared for me when i was dependant on him. I will always treasure the time i spent with him.

That's beautiful!!

I am glad that you were able to post your story to share with us. Your story may help someone else who is going through the same thing that you went through. I was there with my dad as well when he was battling cancer, and that brought us closer before he passed away in 2016. It makes you want to do more in today's society.. keep spreading peace and joy.

Amen thank you for sharing your story with us.... May God bless you and your family in the all mighty name of Jesus Christ amen

Good for you Aida!

You are a wonderful child. I helped take care of both my parents and my grandmother and I truly appreciated the time I had with them. I love them so much!

It's never too late and what a treasure! God bless you

I agree, the time you spent was valuable.

Wow! I'm glad you both got a opportunity to get a second chance. Not many people get the opportunity of even allow it to happen.

Just keeping it real
My Dad has been gone 50 years. And I still miss him
