They're trying to drive salaries down but, we can't live on H1-B salaries. The jobs are becoming more complicated but, the pay isn't there. They say engineers and techs are needed but, they want to pay entry-level after 5 or more years.

The first company I ever worked for when they hired me paid me less than the interns. Some companies push salaries down low because they figure for some jobs they can get anyone to do it, and they can treat the person like crap because they will be thankful to have anything.

At this point, I treat it as a sign about the company culture - if I see a company doing that, chances are its a terrible place to work at.
