I worked for a company for almost a year through a temp agency. I was in the process of getting hired on through the company and when they did the background check I was terminated. I gave my background when I got the job initially and it will be 7 years since my last conviction in April. What can I do?

Hi Chet Monsta my thought is that the background check was for the agency and then perhaps the job itself ran a separate one. I am sorry but at this point I would begin to look for a new position. Did they give you a reason in writing? Is there someone in HR you may speak to. Did you sign some type of contract stating you were an "at-will" employee?
