Wrongful termination?
I was fired for rumors going around work.. I was an assistant gm for a restaurant and the person I beat out for the position went to my dm with her cronies and made false allegations of me using drugs.. I even offered to take a drug test through the company clinic and even take a hair follicle test at my own expense and they still fired me... Is this even legal?

Sounds like someone just wanted your job

Doesn't sound legal or right! I am going thru the same thing now as far as WRONGFUL TERMINATION! You need to find out exactly what to do as do I. These "bosses" need to know we cannot be pushed around. Wish I could tell you the right people to contact. I need to find out what to do in my case. Good Luck and sorry you lost your job but you will find better. Go after that person. Definitely get your paperwork and any documents you already have on your situation.

I think you should call a lawyer . I was in the same shoes. you don't want work for McDonald's they treat there managers like trash. I was a manger and I'm pretty up set about it so I know where your comming from.

No its not against the law but u have a very good case for discrimination so you file for unemployment benefits right away and u will probably have to contest it cause more than likely they will ly plus I would look in to a law suit...good case

It depends on what STATE your in, not all states are at will states. BUT, even in at will states if ALL you stated is true, go to a lawyer and watch, I guarantee you will be able to settle with that company!

Apply for unemployment. Theyll fight it but take them to court. Youll need unemployment until you get another job.

Unless you have a contract there’s little you can do, however if you have proof you can take legal action against the person or persons that started this terrible rumor. I wish you well.

Did the company specifically tell you that you were being terminated for using drugs?
If multiple people were reporting you, that gives it some credibility as far as the company’s response.
Since you denied it, most companies would have given you a drug test.
If you are an “at will” employee, you probably don’t have a case. The company will simply say that you have created a perception that will make it difficult for you to function effectively as a GM.
If this is a national chain, you may want to appeal to the home office. If the restaurant is franchised, I am not sure how that would work.
Consult an attorney. Initial consultations are often free.

Yes it is legal you are at-will employee right to work laws say that you can be fired terminated for any reason at any time that's what happens when you destroy the labor unions and the labor laws. good job America!!
Wrongful fireing....
