Hi Kent: Thanks for posting to Jobcase! I think one of the best ways to find good carpenter jobs in your area is to call up local construction companies to see if they're hiring.

I live in Fargo and have since 91 but my home is Arizona where , I feel since I was taught to frame there and am now a working foreman. Fargo , West Fargo, ( two entirely different cities ) ,and Moorhead MN , which is across the red River about 3 miles from here , was all 3 booming , even during the recession , and hasn't stopped. Point is , they are begging for framers , experienced that is. The carpenters here when asked how they learned say , my grandpa taught me when I helped build his barn.....lol. Personally I don't build barns , I build custom homes and demand from those who claim to be experienced framers , speed and quality work. I don't work for nor with wood butchers. Anyway , if your hard up for a job and don't mind coming to Fargo , and ARE experienced , you shouldn't have any trouble finding a job here. By the way , I'm the only one hin North Dakota who actually gives a damn about how they build , not to mention they build cracker Jack houses and the apartments here are all the same floor plans. Good luck in your search.
