Medical Assistant at Family Healthcare Network

Sahara Avila. Medical Assistant

I got charged with prescription fraud and was sent to state prison for 2 years. I take full responsibility for my actions and I have learned a valuable lesson. I have been looking for a job but somehow I end up applying for the medical assistant jobs, knowing Nobody would want to hire me in the medical field due to my crime. Do I still have a chance at working front office or medical records? I want to move forward and be successful again. But I feel like a failure and I cry over what I've done in the past. Should I go back to school and look at other fields? Please help I feel like the bad apple.

Baby Girl, I feel for You so much. We are living in a society that promotes a lifestyle that FEW can obtain but the top 5%. Employers do not have the right to discriminate against a crime that you have already paid your dues over. This should not be a LIFE SENTENCE. I would contact a great Employment Attorney and get his advice before you go to your next employer. Be aware that another trick is the Credit Score Ratio, which allows them to discriminate..Especially against Minorities and Poor Anglo Saxons. We are living in a Mass Incarceration Society feeding the Privatised Prison System. The System is "Set Up" so that you can become desperate again and get sent back to jail to feed it. YOUR NOT ALONE. Go into the Hospitality Business and Stay out of Trouble.

Hi Sahara: Unfortunately, due to your past it will be difficult to get a job in the medical field. To get back on track for your career, try going to non medical training programs such as business, warehouse, or technician
