Scam and Fake Jobs
Hello everyone, about two months ago a company by the name of PD offered me a job as being a logistics Specialist. First this company sent me an email stating that I have been chosen to work for them, Yes, I was overwhelmed with joy, no longer unemployed but I had to think, I never applied for this position, so what's the deal. Now mind you they are good at what they do, because they sent me documents to fill out when it came to personal information, such as: drug test documents, application, what PD stands for as a company, I mean they were legit. I followed the instructions and read the description of the position and they were as followed: For training purposes, you will learn how to print FedEx labels off your computer and place it on an empty box and send it to the address provided by them, then they wait a few days to make sure you know what you are doing and when they receive that empty box, you will start getting some tasks but I did some research of my own and found out it was a scam. They are sending stolen goods to your house and having you distribute it to people, in other states that know it's stolen goods. How I found out is I asked for the Company's website and Control ID number and it was for another company based out of Georgia but is no longer active... So beware of all the crooks looking for vulnerable people like us looking for honest jobs... I will send you a picture of what the message looks like, so you will not end up in Federal court... They only changed the PD to SH, when they tried to trick me again..#notsosmartcriminals
So glad you were able to discover that before you lost any money or were caught sending stolen goods! There are so many ways these days that people are trying to scam innocent people who are just looking for a job.
