confident, skills, courage and have a strong attitude with clients and customers. Also play a good role model. also listen to the employees input.
Three things: organizational skills, ability to clearly communicate and leadership.
For myself I worked my way up from from freight processor. I was always available ready to pick up the slac where needed , hard work , dependability , punctuality, having the ability to listen to direction and openness and willingness to learn all aspects of the business , patience, adaptability, and just overall drive to be the best I can be to bring in a positive experience to our customers. Having empathy and compassion for people and their needs and wants, listening skills and a happy approachable smile to bring in customers while carry oneself with dignity integrity and respect for the company and most importantly the customers and fellow employees .
Patience understanding willingness to learn/teach, directness humbleness humility Empathy some compassion. Approachability Accountability. I could go on how much more do you need?.
Listen to understand not just to reply
have patience with your team everyone learns in their own pace... you really have to listen Multitasking is the main thing when becoming a manager you must do 10 things at once and learn to handle stress..
Takes a very firm and strong decision to be one

What does it take to become anything ? Being a manager isn’t any different I guess opportunity is is the main thing it takes to become a manager
I adapted my leadership style over many years and with a lot of mentoring from respected senior managers. You need to lead but trust your team. Provide guidance and support when necessary and recognize the achievements regularly. As many others have said, open and honest communication across your team and with all other teams you/they interact with. Constantly seek to learn and improve.
